  • The analysis software for laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) system manufactured by Gemmological Institute,China University of Geosciences,is developed and introduced in the paper.The analysis software has two main functions:automatic element analysis and user-defined spectral database for samples,which could predigest the original spectral analysis process.The LIBS testing results of natural or treated jadeite jade samples and sapphire samples are identified and analysed by using the software.It is primarily proved that the software has the practicability and LIBS technique could be applied to the test and study on jewelry and jades.
