Aesthetic Exploration in Contemporary Jadeite Design Works

With the enhancement of China's national strength and national self-confidence, as well as the improvement of consumers' aesthetic tastes and economic capability, traditional jadeite jewelry design can no longer meet the needs of the consumers, and China's high-end jadeite jewelry design starts to shine. According to the market condition and the thinking of managing high-end jadeite jewelry design brand, the author analyzes the aesthetic connotation of four high-end jadeite jewelry design styles that combine the characteristics of eastern and western aesthetic styles and the aesthetic potential of jadeite itself: classicism style, modernism style, decorative style and artistic conception.With practical cases, this paper traces the source and explores these aesthetic styles and probes into the future aesthetic innovation in high-end jadeite jewelry design. The result indicates that the classicism style represents balance, symmetry and rigor, which is the continuation of traditional Chinese aesthetics; the modernism style is the negation and subversion of the former, showing infinite innovation and application of a variety of aesthetic elements; the decorative style in high-end jadeite jewelry design is a fusion of eastern and western design cultures, combining retro and fashion; the high-end jadeite design with artistic conception is a unique aesthetic category in China, adding infinite philosophical understanding to jadeite jewelry. The author traces and explores these aesthetic styles, and prospects the aesthetic innovation in the future design of high-end jadeite jewelry.
