Application of 3D Printing on Design and Manufacture of Baroque Pearl Jewelry

  • 3D printing is widely used in jewelry design and production because of its high precision, which can effectively realize the designer's idea. The combination of 3D printing technology and baroque pearl design can fully display the aesthetic value of the baroque pearl, thus enhancing the added value of the baroque pearl product. This paper introduces the concept of 3D printing technology, reviews the status quo of metal 3D printing technology, baroque pearl jewelry design and 3D printing technology combining with jewelry design at home and abroad, and innovatively proposes the combination of metal 3D printing and baroque pearl jewelry design and production. The design, scanning, modeling and printing of the baroque pearl samples are carried out, which shows that the design process not only saves the manpower and time but also contributes to the ideal pieces of baroque pearl jewelry.It confirms that the combination of metal 3D printing and baroque pearl jewelry design and manufacture can fully display the design aesthetic feeling of baroque pearl and realize its aesthetic value.
