The Emotional Belief and Aesthetic Pursuit in Tibetan Ornament Ga'u

  • As a cultural carrier, jewelry bears the cultural characteristics of nationality, time and region. Ga'u is one of the representative neck ornaments in Tibetan area. Combining with the history and culture of Tibetan area, this paper deduces the origin and development of Ga'u, and discusses the evolution of its function and the aesthetic features including its modeling, decoration, material, colour etc., and analyzes its potential emotional thought.This paper comprehensively discusses the decorative art and the potential emotion thought of Ga'u, which have important reference significance for contemporary national culture research and jewelry design.
