Study on Properties of Electroforming Hard Gold

  • 摘要: 为对电铸硬金产品的有关性质有更全面的认识,采集了3家公司的3件样品,采用ICP-MS、ICPAES、显微硬度计、金相显微镜、扫描电子显微镜等对样品进行了测试与分析。结果显示:各样品的含金量均大于99.9%,其主要的微量元素为 Ag,Cu。3件样品的维氏硬度分别为68.74,71.16,74.97,达不到145。在结构方面,各样品的晶粒尺寸非常细小,以致在扫描电子显微镜下无法分辨,这是其硬度较高的结构基础。表面微形貌起伏不平,有较多孔洞,结构较疏松。内部含有尺寸0.2~3.5μm的夹杂物,样品1的夹杂物主要是CaO和Na2O,样品2和样品3的夹杂物主要是SiO2和Na2O,这与电铸时样品所处的溶液介质有关。样品1热处理前的维氏硬度为68.74,处理后减小为25.94,这与热处理后发生了晶粒的“长大”有关。

     

    Abstract: In order to have a clearer idea about the properties of electroforming hard gold,the authors select three samples of electroforming hard gold from three companies and test them by using ICP-MS,ICP-AES,micro-hardness tester,metallurgical microscope and scanning electron microscope.The results indicate that the content of Au is greater than 99.9%in each sample,their main trace elements are Ag and Cu.Vickers hardness of the three samples are 68.74,71.16and 74.97respectively and all of them are lower than 145.In terms of structure,crystalline grains of the samples are so fine that they can not be distinguished even by SEM and the tiny grains are the structural basis for high Vickers hardness.Meanwhile,the surfaces of smaples are uneven with many holes,and their structures are rather loose.There are some inclusions in each sample,the size of the inclusions is between 0.2μm and 3.5μm.The inclusions in sample 1are mainly composed of CaO and Na2O.The inclusions in sample 2and sample 3are mainly composed of SiO2and Na2O.These results probably are due to the liquid solution where the samples are produced.The Vickers hardness of sample 1 is 68.74and it is reduced to 25.94after heat treatment,which is caused by the“growing”of the crystalline grains after being heated.
