Abstract:
As one of the mainstream computer-aided-design softwares applied in jewelry industry,Jewel CAD has been highly praised and widely used.Relevant courses have been set as compulsory courses for jewel-related majors in most colleges and universities.However,there are some shortcomings in regard to the model of computer-based jewelry teaching,which fail to cultivate students to meet the needs of the market in terms of computer literacy.This paper takes the course of Jewel CAD provided by Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology as an example and makes an attempt to boost educational reform by conducting in-depth cooperation with jewelry enterprises.It analyzes the shortcomings of the present teaching model and discusses models and methods of teaching from perspectives of key aspects of course reform and effects of reform.After the reform,the courses combine practice,and model of teaching is more rational,which would enhance professional competence as well as comprehensive quality of students.
