翡翠表面微波纹

MICROWAVY LINE ON THE SURFACE OF JADEIT JADE

  • 摘要: 通过肉眼和放大镜下观察,翡翠玉器的抛光表面一般都可见到微波状起伏,即微波纹。微波纹的产生原因有三:一是硬工矿物的不同晶面和晶面的不同方向硬度不同,抛光时引起的微波状起伏;二是解理发育的硬玉在抛光时平行抛光面方向的解理面会剥落;三是其它不同硬度的矿物引起的微波状起伏。微波纹和翠性一样,都是翡翠的重要特征,但它们是两个不同的概念。识别翡翠抛光表面微波纹的产生原因、制约因素和特征可快速地、准确地、大量地鉴别翡翠与其它相似玉石和仿冒玉石,也对快速鉴定翡翠A货、B货、C货和镀膜翡翠有重要指示。观察微波纹的方法简单,易于掌握。

     

    Abstract: The wavy lines on the polished surface of jadeit jade are visiable to the naked eye or observation under magnification. There are three causes that produce microwavy line. Firstly, the hardness is different on different crystal faces of the jadeit and on different directions of crystal face after polishing. Secondly, well-developed cleavages can result in peeling off along the cleavages which parellel the polishing direction when jadeit jades are polished. Thirdly, the other minerals with different hardness from jadeit can produce microwavy lines on the polished surface of jadeit jade. The microwavy line and flash on the crystal face are the main characters of jadeit jade, but they belong to different categories. Understanding the mechanism and characteristics of microwavy line on polished surface of jadeit jade can seperate iadeit iade from other kinds of jade and imitations quickly and effectively. Microwavy line also is an important indication in identification of A, B, C of jadeit jade and film-plating jadeit jade. The observation of micro-wavy line is very simple and easy.
