应用阴极发光鉴定蓝色托帕石
Application of Cathodoluminescence to Identification of Blue Topaz

摘要: 用标准的珠宝鉴定紫外灯(波长为365nm和254nm)对天然蓝色和无色以及辐照处理蓝色托帕石样品进行测试发现,天然蓝色托帕石的紫外荧光强度从强到弱,变化较大,而各种辐照处理蓝色托帕石的紫外荧光强度均微弱甚至不显现。在紫外荧光测试的基础上,使用BY-1阴极发光仪和美国Ocean Optics的USB2000型CCD多通道光谱仪对其阴极发光特征进行了重点研究。结果表明,天然蓝色托帕石的阴极发光强度最强,天然无色托帕石的次之,辐照处理蓝色托帕石的最弱,仅为天然蓝色托帕石的1/3。因此,阴极发光测试可以快速、无损鉴别天然和辐照处理蓝色托帕石。Abstract: The natural blue, colourless topazs and irradiated blue topaz are tested by using UV lamp (λ=365, 254 nm). The results show that the UV fluorescences of the natural blue topazs are strong to very weak, and those of the irradiated blue topazs are very weak or even no fluorescences. On the basis of UV fluorescence test, their cathodoluminescence characters are studied emphasisly by using By-1 cathodoluminescence spectroscope produced by the author and USB2000 CCD multi-channel spectroscope produced by Ocean Optics, U.S. The results indicate that the cathodoluminescence of the natural blue topaz is the strongest, that of the natural colourless topaz takes the second place and that of the irradiated blue topaz is the weakest, only 1/3 of that of the natural blue topaz. The cathodoluminescence characters can be used to separate the natural blue topaz from the irradiated blue topaz rapidly and nondestructively.
