合浦珠母贝珍珠层的差示扫描量热分析

Differential Scanning Calorimetry Analysis of Nacreous Layer from Bivalve Shells of Pinctada Martensii

  • 摘要: 采用差示扫描量热仪对合浦珠母贝珍珠层进行了初步研究,发现珍珠层文石相变成方解石时表现为445℃左右的放热峰,与合成文石相变时呈现吸热峰明显不同。珍珠层文石这种异常的热相变特征可能是由纳米级文石储存的过剩焓引起的。

     

    Abstract: The thermal features of nacre aragonite from bivalve shells of Pinctada martensii are analyzed by using differential scanning calorimetry. It is observed that the thermal transformation of nacre aragonite to calcite is exothermal at about 445℃, whereas the transformation of synthetic aragonite is endothermal at about 498℃. The unusual exothermal transformation of nacre aragonite to calcite is perhaps resulted from the stored excess enthalpy in nanometer-size aragonite of nacre.
