Abstract:
Cymrite is a new discovered mineral in the jadeite jade deposit of Myanma. The mineralogical characteristics of the cymrite are studied initially by using microscope, X-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectrum and electron microprobe. Electron microprobe analysis shows that the main compositions in the sample are
w(BaO): 35.11%~37.88%,
w(Al
2O
3): 27.22%~29.33% and
w(SiO
2): 31.20%~33.57%. According to the results of EPMA, TG and IR analysis, there are three kinds of the cymrite. They are of waterless, part water-bearing and standard water-bearing. H
2O is structure water.
