Abstract: There are 7 000 years jade culture history in China.Nephrite is one of the important components in the jade culture.Nephrite jewelry looks beautiful and elegant,which exactly conforms to the Chinese traditional culture's essence.By analysing the current situation of the modern nephrite jewelry market,it is found that the nephrite jewelry design is still remained in the traditional design idea,without innovative idea and specific characteristics.Through discussing the constraints of nephrite jewelry development,it is point out that the advanced technology and the art philosophy should be used to tap the cultural connotations and the artistic value of nephrite,and to create the nephrite jewelry with modern style and form auspicious motifs to meet the needs of modern consumer groups,providing nephrite a greater development space.
