Abstract:
The people of Chu have created and developed a splendid culture through long-term production and labor practices. They have accumulated distinctive cultural relics and innovative artifact-making philosophy with profound cultural heritage and creative wisdom. Among various types of artifacts, their achievements in bronze work were particularly outstanding. Based on this, this study analyzes and summarizes three methods of cultural and creative design transformation for Chu-style bronzes: the extraction and refinement of vessel shapes and patterns, the interpretation and application of historical allusions, and the transformation and interpretation of cultural relics activation. It expounds the dominant characteristics and deep cultural core of specific products, and analyzes their design transformation methods, with a view to provide new ideas and methods for traditional cultural relics to "be alive, be popular", stimulating more design talents to create cultural and creative products with national cultural styles, narrowing the distance between the general public and cultural relics, and from this, let them understand Chinese culture, thus, enhance thier cultural and national self-confidence.
