Abstract:
The traditional amber carving process has a long history, which is accompanied by continuous innovation and maturity with development of amber products. Pattern is the soul of amber carving, which has a certain decisive role in the value of its finished product. However, the production process of traditional amber carving has been passed down to this day, and there is a pattern realization form that is very monotonous. Most of the motifs are reproductions of traditional patterns. And the material mainly focuses on auspicious meanings, lack of diversity of pattern monetization and other issues. By exploring the application methods of Oroqen culture in traditional amber carving craft jewelry, it provides new ideas and new methods for the innovation of traditional amber carving pattern jewelry design. The aim of the study is to inject fresh design blood into the pattern expression of the traditional amber carving process. The design works not only conform to traditional Chinese culture and characteristics, but also are a new attempt to choose patterns of traditional craftsmanship.
