Abstract: Gold and jewelry museums are formed on the basis of cultural heritage and economic development of gold and jewelry, and gradually play an increasingly important role. This paper expounds that gold and jewelry museums not only have the functions of traditional museums, but also reveal the historical process of the exchange and integration between different regions and cultures. They are also the world's gold and jewelry cultural exchange center, reflecting the achievements of industrial development and having a leading and exemplary role in industrial development. By comparing the development process and characteristics of foreign gold and jewelry museums with the domestic ones, this paper further discusses the development direction of domestic gold and jewelry museums. Finally, we call for more attention to the construction of China's gold and jewelry museums, so that they can become the witnesses of China's excellent traditional culture and the important part of the high-quality development of the industry.
