Abstract:
For the shortcomings of traditional experimental teaching methods of
Gem Cutting Design and Processing Technology course, this article combines the advantages of the virtual simulation experiment platform to explore a new teaching model for this course.By simulating the design and processing part of real natural gemstones, establishing the original gemstone specimen database, cutting design database, gem design database, and adding the diversified experimental teaching evaluation, students can experience various problems that may be encountered in gem cutting design. Under the premise of reducing costs, this teaching model provides effective support for the actual processing of various gemstones, closes the gap between teaching and actual gemstone processing technology in the market, arouses the situation that the traditional curriculum teaching is not in line with the real market demand, improves the students' adaptability to the real market, arouses the students' enthusiasm for learning and independent learning ability, and stimulates the spirit of exploration and creativity.
