Abstract:
In the Western Zhou Dynasty, jade wares with the combination pattern of man and dragon appeared in the high-level tombs of Zhouyuan, Fenghao, Jin, Zeng, Guo, Rui and Ying Country. Their shapes are beautiful, gorgeous and fluent, and their craftsmanship is exquisite, which has high artistic value. According to the motif elements of the patterns, the patterns can be divided into the combination of man and dragon and the combination of dragon and Phoenix. In order to further subdivide the combination mode, the authors draw the composition of the typical jade pattern decomposition diagram, and it can be concluded that the main bodies of this kind of jade matrix pattern are connection fusion, grafting fusion and superposition fusion. From the jade combination pattern composition form, it can be found that human is prominent in the pattern composition. Under the background of the gradual development and improvement of the ritual and music civilization system in the Western Zhou Dynasty, this paper aims to study the jade wares which have the combination patterns of man and dragon, based on the analysis of the artistic characteristics of the objects' form and the spiritual field of the metaphysical way, and to explore the ancient people's ideas and aesthetics of jade carving.
