普通砗磲与“玉化砗磲”的宝石学特征对比

Comparative Study on Gemmological Characteristic of Ordinary Tridacna and Petrified Tridacna

  • 摘要: 采用常规宝石学特征测试以及X射线粉末衍射测试、红外光谱分析、拉曼光谱分析、偏光显微镜和扫描电子显微镜观察,对普通砗磲与“玉化砗磲”的基础宝石学特征、组成成分、结构及谱学特征进行了研究。使用类比的分析方法,找到普通砗磲与“玉化砗磲”的详细区分点。常规宝石学特征测试结果显示,“玉化砗磲”的透明度、相对密度、摩氏硬度更高,紫外荧光更强。X射线粉末衍射分析结果显示,“玉化砗磲”与普通砗磲的主要矿物组成为文石,两种砗磲的红外光谱、拉曼光谱都具有文石特征峰,但受内部微量元素的影响,v2v3峰都较无机成因文石发生了不同程度的蓝移。偏光显微镜以及扫描电子显微镜观察砗磲样品的内部结构,可发现“玉化砗磲”内部文石棱柱体呈定向排列,结构紧密,以平行层状结构为特征结构;普通砗磲内部文石棱柱体排列较为杂乱,结构疏松,具有层状结构和交错结构。

     

    Abstract: The gemmological characteristics of ordinary Tridacna and petrified Tridacna have been invetigated by conventional gemmological testing instruments, X-ray powder diffraction spectrometer, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, Raman spectrometer, polarizing microscope, and scanning electron microscope. The authors try to find out the detailed different points between ordinary Tridacna and petrified Tridacna by analogy.The results of basic gemmological tests show that petrified Tridacna has higher transparency, higher relative density, higher Mohs hardness and stronger ultraviolet fluorescence.X-ray powder diffraction analysis reveals that the major mineral component of both petrified Tridacna and ordinary Tridacna are aragonite.The IR spectrum and Raman spectrum of the two kinds of Tridacnas both have aragonite characteristic peaks.Under the influence of internal trace elements, the peaks of v2 and v3 show different degree of blue shift compared with inorganic aragonite.The internal structure of the samples are observed by polarizing microscope and scanning electron microscope(SEM). The results show that the internal aragonite grains of petrified Tridacna are in oriented arrangement. petrified Tridacna has compact internal structure with parallel layered structure as the characteristic structure. Ordinary Tridacna has parallel layered structure and crossed lamellar structure, whose internal structure is messy and loose.
