探析“观念”在首饰设计创新中的价值——以英国皇家艺术学院首饰设计教学项目为例

Explore Value of "Concept" in Jewelry Design Innovation: Taking the Jewelry Design Teaching Program of Royal College of Art as An Example

  • 摘要: 观念首饰发自20世纪40年代的欧美国家,是以观念为设计主导方针,强调设计师思想表达的首饰形式,具有较高的精神内涵。本文侧重从首饰设计的思维角度出发,将“观念”作为首饰设计创新研究的核心要素,通过国内外已有的观念首饰的研究进行数据统计,分析得出观念首饰研究的趋势及研究意义。同时,结合作者在英国皇家艺术学院首饰系学习时参与的两个首饰设计教学项目进行案例分析,试图分析西方观念首饰“重观念、重技艺”的设计方法,以及“观念”在首饰设计创新中的价值体现,从而为我国首饰设计创新化发展提出建议性策略,并为首饰设计学科在中国设计教育领域的发展提供参考及新思维模式,突显“观念”在首饰设计创新中的意义。

     

    Abstract: Originated in Europe and the United States in the 1940s, conceptual jewelry is a kind of jewelry with high spiritual connotation, which takes concept as the leading design principle.It emphasizes the expression of designers' ideas.From the perspective of jewelry design, this paper takes "concept" as the core element of jewelry design innovation research. The paper also analyzed the research trend and significance of concepted jewelry through statistics of existing research on conceptual jewelry in China and foreign countries. At the same time, by stating the experiences of two jewelry design teaching projects that the author participated in when studying in the jewelry department of the Royal College of Art. This paper tried to summarize the design method of western conceptual jewelry with the notion of "emphasizing concepts and techniques".Therefore, this research which is specific to the level of thinking expansion is about to offer some suggestions for the innovativeness of jewelry design in China. What's more, it aimed to provide references and a new thinking mode for the development of jewelry design discipline in the field of design education in China, thus highlighting the significance of "concept" in jewelry design innovation.
