巴基斯坦翠榴石的宝石学特征研究

Gemmological Characteristic of Demantoid from Pakistan

  • 摘要: 翠榴石是石榴石族中钙铁榴石的一种,常因含铬而显翠绿色,除了传统产地俄罗斯外,近年在巴基斯坦等地也发现有少量产出。本文利用分光镜、宝石显微镜、X射线荧光光谱仪、傅立叶变换红外光谱仪、拉曼光谱仪等测试方法对巴基斯坦翠榴石样品的成分与包裹体特征进行分析。结果显示,巴基斯坦翠榴石样品的红外光谱与钙铁榴石的红外光谱特征具有一致性,在937、848、817、517 cm-1显示与SiO4基团有关的吸收峰,在481,442 cm-1处显示与Fe-O有关的吸收峰。XRF检测出巴基斯坦翠榴石样品中钙铁端元达到90%以上,属于完全类质同象,大多样品中Cr含量低于检测限。拉曼测试测试显示,巴基斯坦翠榴石样品的峰位与钙铁榴石的一致:在995、842、816 cm-1处附近显示(Si-O)Str有关的峰位,在553、494、452 cm-1附近显示与(Si-O)有关的吸收峰,在325,312 cm-1附近显示与R(SiO4)4有关的吸收峰,在174 cm-1附近显示与T(SiO4)4有关的吸收峰,在264、236 cm-1附近显示与T(X2+)有关的吸收峰。拉曼测试结果表明,巴基斯坦翠榴石中黑色特征不透明包裹体为磁铁矿。

     

    Abstract: In this study we used spectroscope, gemstone microscope, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer to investigate the characteristics of the composition and inclusion in demantoid from Pakistan. Based on the experiments, the result indicates that the infrared spectrum of Pakistani demantoid and the infrared spectrum of andradite have the same characteristics. The ultraviolet test result shows that in addition to the absorption of 443 nm (Fe) and 618 nm (Cr), Pakistani demantoid has a characteristic absorption of 732 nm, Raman test results show that the black opaque inclusions in Pakistani demantoid are magnetite.
