一种月光石的仿制品——醇酸树脂

Moonstone Imitation: Alkyd Resin

  • 摘要: 日常检测中遇到1件客户送检的“月光石”戒指,该宝石的外观特征为无色并具有朦胧的月光效应。肉眼观察极似普通的月光石。常规宝石学鉴定和红外光谱分析测试确认其材质是醇酸树脂,具人工树脂特性及特征的红外光谱吸收峰。醇酸树脂用于仿冒月光石还是比较少见的,容易疏忽,故日常检测时应多加关注。

     

    Abstract: A "moonstone" ring sent by the customer was encountered in the daily inspection. The appearance of the gem is colourless and has hazy moonlight effect. Through naked eye observation, it is very similar to the ordinary moonstone. Conventional gemmological identification and infrared spectrum analysis test confirmed that it is composed of alkyd resin, with artificial resin characteristics and characteristics of the infrared spectrum absorption peak. It is rare to use alkyd resin to imitate moonstone, which is easy to neglect, therefore, more attention should be paid to routine testing.
