Inspiration of Jewelry Design from the Golden Artifacts of Jinsha Relics

  • Jinsha Relics is one of the four important sites in the development process of our country about ancient Shu Culture in Pre-Qin period. This paper summarizes the main shape characteristics and process of golden artifacts unearthed from Jinsha Relics, and analyzes the historical and cultural factors behind those representative decorative patterns, such as sun bird pattern gold, frog-shaped gold and mask-shaped gold, In the research, the authors conclude two methods to combine golden artifacts of Jinsha Relics and modern jewelry design.That is extracting the individual decorative elements for restructuring and borrowing images.Finally, two types of jewelry are processed by using those methods, which broadened the perspective and will create more novelties in design.
