Abstract
High purity gold jewelry is one of the current consumption hotspots in the market. In order to determine the gold content in high purity gold accurately, this study determined the contents of 19 impurity elements including Ag, Cd, Se, As, Sb, Te, Bi, Cu, Ir, Mn, Ni, Pb, Pd, Pt, Sn, Ti, Zn, Cr and Rh in high purity gold by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), combining inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) to determine the contents of 4 impurity elements including Fe, Al, Na and Mg in high purity gold. The gold content was obtained by difference method. The results show that the precision (RSD, n=11) range of the method is 1.05%-3.78%, and standard recovery ratio is 93.0%-109.0%. The method can satisfy the test requirements of impurity elements in high purity gold, which provides a more accurate and environmental friendly method for the detection of gold content.
